About Me
I’ve always been a foodie who loves to cook (I’m partial to puddings) and have tried to eat what I thought was “healthily”.
After many years of cooking for a large family and after my youngest child left home I started studying Nutritional Therapy at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition in London.
I was going through the menopause at about the same time and discovered that my bone density was very low. I was shocked as I thought I had a fairly healthy lifestyle, but whilst studying I learned that this is very common for women at this stage in life. By changing my diet, using supplements, and doing strengthening exercises my bones density is now normal.
I discovered too that my “healthy diet” was not so healthy after all!!
Coping with the demands and health issues of a large family has given me an understanding of how the stresses of everyday life affect our diet and lifestyle choices.
I am a member of The British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) which requires that I abide by a strict code of ethics and Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which ensures training to the highest standards in line with National Occupational Standards.
I am very happy using nutritional therapy to optimise any health goal, but am especially interested in the menopause, bone health, cardiovascular disease and preparing for that later stage in life.
I am excited about helping you become the best you can be!

intelligently is an art."
